to this.....
in just 5 precious months?!?
I went to visit baby Kiptyn in the hospital and even though he was 2lbs heavier than Hunter was (when he was born), he still looked sooooo tiny!! It is amazing and crazy how fast they grow up.
Mr. Hunter - at 5 months you were sick with a sinus infection. Of all of the things you HAD to get from Mommy, I am afraid you might have gotten my allergy/sinus issues. Hopefully you will grow out of it! At your doctors appointment you weighed 17lb 1.7oz. That new weight might be because of all of the baby food you are eating now. You can now eat Carrots, Sweet Potatoes, Squash, and Apples. This weekend you will be trying Bananas. Woo Hoo! Too bad you still HATE eating from a spoon. In fact, you still cry. The ladies at the daycare let you eat it through an infant feeder right now, but we are still working on the spoon!
You can officially roll from your back to your tummy now. I finally got to witness it. Pops should be proud because you know how to pivot.....but not on your pivot foot, on your belly! HeHe! When you are on your tummy you can turn your body to face a different direction. Daddy says you do it in "Ninja" mode because even when we are watching you, you move so slowly that we can barely notice you are changing directions. But if we get distracted then look at you again you have pivoted 180 degrees.
It looks like you really want to move now. When you are on your tummy you will stick your bottom in the air, but then your top falls and vise versa. Don't worry though son, you will be moving far faster than I am ready for it - I am sure!!!
You have found your tongue and your feet. It is wonderful to just sit back and watch you discover the little things! You think it is really funny when we tickle your nose with your feet. You like to try to get your feet to your mouth, but I think your belly gets in the way...then you decide it is much easier to chew on your hands! At times I have thought you must be teething but no teeth yet!
Everyone loves your big blue eyes and precious smile. I can't tell you how many people stop me at the daycare, grocery store, mall.....practically everywhere we go....just to tell me how handsome you are!
I am so thankful to have a happy and healthy baby but I REALLY wish you would stop growing up so fast. I love the time we get to snuggle and read and play together. I think of you constantly when I am at work...just counting down the minutes until I can go pick you up. It breaks my heart that in a blink of the eye you will be grown, but just remember... no matter what, you will ALWAYS be my baby!!
ps.....Daddy loves to snuggle too...
