So in early December we went to the Red Caboose Tree Farm to pick out our very own tree. It was a neat experience.....something I never had done before. The tree farm had animals, hot chocolate, hay rides, and tons and tons of trees to pick from.
Unfortunately we picked a REALLY cold day so we couldn't take our time and enjoy all of the neat things they had to offer. Here are my cuties all bundled up.
And after walking around the boys found the perfect tree.
Daddy & Hunter cutting our tree down.
So cute!!
And now to get this beauty in the house
UGH.....tough work dragging in the tree. {Even tougher work for Mommy cleaning up all of the stinking pine needles!!}
Our angel baby!
Our sweet helpers :)
Hunter's new ornament - construction truck!
Lauran's Cinderella Coach
Daddy putting the angel on the top to finish her off. (If you think it looks like it is leaning, it was! Don't ask how long it took us to get the tree to actually stand in the tree stand!! AND it did happen to fall, on the kids once :( but fortunately I caught it before it really got to them and no "important" ornaments got broken!)
It may be a little Charlie Brown-ish - but it was our very own tree :) The kids loved it and were so proud that they picked it out. I didn't sneeze too much (more than normal) so I see this becoming a new family tradition.
