He loved all of the big animals and they were all "deer" or "da"
When we would walk between the different group of animals, we would put Hunter back in his stroller. He would just be devastated and cry so much. Then when we stopped at the next group and he got to get out and look at the animals he was instantly happy again!
Hunter would quickly check to see if he could see anything from the ground and when he figured out he couldn't he wanted you to stand him up on whatever rail was there. Here is Hunter and Daddy looking at the Tiger.
Hands down, Hunter's favorite was the turtles!! I think it was because they were on the ground and close to the fence. AND this was right when we got there so it wasn't 110 degrees yet.
He looks so cute in this picture. Clint was asking me a question about the setting of the camera which explains my lovely face.
We stayed at the zoo from about 9-11:30. It was soooo hot so we would love to go back later in the year when things start to cool off. There were so many things that we didn't get to see and Hunter really loved all of the animals. There was a moment when Clint was holding Hunter and Hunter was excited and pointing at the animals that I had to stop and question if this was really my life...I mean family day at the zoo with my handsome husband and beautiful son? How am I so blessed? I am not sure what I thought my life would be like when I "grew up" but I am so thankful that this is my reality! I am looking forward to many many more family fun days like this one!
You are very blessed!! But so are Clint and Hunter to have you in their lives. Yes, this is the sweet life. In the end no one wishes they had worked more...they wish they had more of these wonderful family moments!
