Hunter is 3

Ok Hunter has been 3 for a while, but finally here is the post!

Hunter's Happy Birthday weekend started out with a weekend long celebration at MiMi and Pop's house. Friday night we celebrated Uncle Lance's Graduation. Saturday we celebrated Hunter's 3rd Birthday and Sunday was Mother's Day! Hunter loved his Mickey party in Dallas.

Daddy even bought these silly candles that kept lighting up when Hunter blew them out. At first he thought they were silly, then got sad he couldn't blow them out, and then Daddy finally helped him blow them out. He wasn't sure if they were coming back or not :)

Then it was off to Rainforest Cafe for the special birthday lunch. He loves his frog birthday cup, but told me the orange slushy was yucky. HaHa! The boy knows what he likes.

He even got a pet tiger balloon animal. But his favorite was when everyone sang happy birthday to him!

Lauran even got in on the birthday lunch

We were fortunate that everyone in the family was able to celebrate. After we ate lunch, Aunt B took him shopping and let him pick out ANY toy he wanted in the Disney store. Hunter picked a Buzz Lightyear that lights up and a Mickey Mouse stuffed animal. They still travel everywhere with us and he tells everyone that Aunt B got them for him.

We also took Hunter to Build-a-bear and let him pick out his own bear. He picked the camo bear and named him Camo bear. His favorite part was giving Camo Bear a bath :) MiMi even bought him a special Happy Birthday shirt since him and Hunter share a birthday. He now sleeps in Hunters room along with other 857 stuff animals.  It was a very very Happy Birthday!

Hunter's Stats at 3:

Height: 3'2.5" (65%)
Weight: 34lb 2oz (69%)
He had a huge growth spurt after he had his tonsils and adenoids removed and actually stayed healthy for a WHOLE YEAR! Yes, that is correct....no antibiotics for an entire year. Woo Hoo!

- Hunter has started a new school and is learning stuff like CRAZY! He knows the Pledge of Allegiance, ABCs, can count to 20 - sometimes higher, knows all of his colors / shapes / and is learning letters. He knows Hunter starts with an "H" and how to spell Hunter just doesn't put them all together on paper yet.
- Anywhere he sees an "H" he is convinced it says his name. The other night he pointed to the dishwasher and said "OH LOOK MOMMY! It says my name!" - it says "Heated Dry" HaHa
- He says the funniest things! Among his newer phrases are "for real?", "for sure!", "that's sooooo cute" {in a soft sweet little voice}, "never mind", and "that's amazing." He also is learning fun things at school like, "Brody says I wipe my butt." UGH! The joys!
- He can still wear size 2 shorts but not pants. He is to tall to wear the pants still.
- He is potty trained minus night time
- He is an excellent eater now and has been much healthier since his surgery in September! Completely different kid. He eat meats, which was always a fight before, and veggies. His favorite is anything sauteed, especially broccoli, squash, and zucchini.  He also like spinach leaves with ranch dip. Pretty much anything I can convince Daddy to eat in front of Hunter, Hunter will eat.
- He LOVES saying the prayers, and reminds Mommy and Daddy to say them regardless of where we are or what size snack we are eating. It is refreshing. He has his own prayer he learned as school that he says every night. {Along with Daddy's prayer, Mommy's prayer, and Sissy's prayer - yes it takes a while to actually get to eat but I wouldn't trade it for the world.}
- Hunter had to get his first cavities filled. Guess he got his teeth from his Mommy :( Dentist said they are seeing this as much more common because of the gummy and chewable vitamins. We are hoping that is the cause and he will not have any more problems in the future.
- Hunter is Daddy's mini-me. How Daddy stands, dresses, talks, eat, moves his hands, stands - HUNTER COPIES EVERYTHING! It is a good thing I love Daddy because now I have two of him to deal with :) It is the sweetest thing ever!

We are so very thankful God blessed us with this beautiful baby boy. We love him more than he will ever be able to understand and are so proud of him! We love you to the moon and the stars, and the stars and the moon, and back :) {Hunter's version of that saying}
