On Lauran's real birthday we had a little family celebration. She got to wear her sweet outfit to school that day. Everyone LOVED her sweet outfit. Special thanks to Auntie Em who helped whip out that shirt for me when I was in a bind. 

After school we went out for a birthday celebration dinner. Hunter helped me pick out birthday girl balloons for sister earlier in the day and she loved them. It is so amazing how observant she already is. Just like her brother!

We had saved one more present for Sissy to open on birthday....some new beautiful shoes :) Lauran is obsessed with shoes. It is so cute to watch her try to put them on herself.

After dinner, we had cupcakes and ice cream and topped it off with a banana snack. Doesn't get any better than that!

At 12 months Lauran's stats are:

Height: 29.5 (60%)

Weight: 20lb 3oz (55%) 

Head: 17.76" (54%)

- Lauran is wearing size 12m clothes, and size 2 shoes. Her feet are so tiny it just seems amazing that she can she walk as good as she can.

- Lauran is wearing size 4 diapers and still has the most adorable rolls on her legs. They make you just want to squeeze and kiss her.

- Lauran has 6 teeth (4 on the top and 2 on the bottom) and she is sloooooowly starting to eat real food. She cries most of the time that we try but amazingly she tries things at school that she will never try at home like chicken nuggets and corn.

- Lauran still loves her bath time with Bubba, loves her bottles very much, and loves talking to DaDa.

- Lauran doesn't talk much but she sure knows how to say DaDa.

- Lauran is a sweet snuggle bug. She wants to be with everyone and snuggle. She will wonder off to play on her own then come back and snuggle again.

- She started giving baby kisses, and really leaning into them, and it is enough to break a grown mans heart. So Sweet!

- She can blow sugars and wave bye bye and follows directions very well. The teachers at her school say she is the biggest helper picking up things in class. Let's pray that trend continues :)

One of her favorite birthday presents was her princess chair/sleeping bag she got from O'ma. She loves sitting in and even better loves that she can be just like brother bear!

Lauran Machele, we are thankful for you ALWAYS! Know how much you are loved! We are so excited for the blessings this next year has in store for us and all of the ways you will continue to bless us in this next year. We love you to the moon and the stars and the stars and the moon and back :)
