On April 1st Hunter and Lauran started their new school - Primrose.
The kids were both very excited to go to their new school.
A week before that, Mommy went and signed the kids up at Primrose and Hunter was so proud to sport his new Primrose shirt. If this isn't the perfect advertisement, I don't know what is!
Then the week before their new school opened Hunter got to go meet his teacher, Ms. Ramos. Hunter LOVED her and his super neat classroom. He has two computers, a kitchen with all of the fixings, trucks and books galore...Hunter fell in love.
The first day of school Hunter was SO excited. He wanted to carry his backpack by himself like a big boy. I asked who wanted to go to their classroom first and Hunter yelled MEEEE! BUT, when we got there it was a different story. We walked into the school and he said that Sissy needed to go to her class first. I dropped Lauran off and she did wonderful, no tears, from her anyways :) Then we were off to Hunter's classroom. He was fine when we walked in but I guess he assumed I was staying with him all day. When I kissed him goodbye he wrapped his arms around my neck and with tear filled eyes he said, "Mommy, please don't leave me." At this point we both starting bawling :( I let him walk around the school with me and he reluctantly went to Ms. Morgan (the Director) who walked him back to his classroom. I called to check on him and hour later and they said he was having a blast singing songs. By week two, he didn't even cry!
That was until one evening, when Hunter was tired, I asked him to carry his backpack inside. He told me no so I told him I was giving it to Sissy.... this is what happened!! Apparently he loves his backpack. LOL!
So far the school has been far from perfect but light years better from where the kids were. We hope to have found their permanent school!
