So right now it looks like he is short and stumpy and smart....must take after Mom...HeHe!!
The doctor was impressed with how strong Hunter was and how well he held his head up. She may just tell that to all of the parents but it made us proud! He had to get two shots and it broke our hearts. I made Clint be the bad guy this time and hold him. It was so sad to watch. Even though he got two shots he is still a happy baby (see both of my Garfield band-aids)...
Things Hunter did this month:
- Rolled over from his tummy to his back. It might have been an accident but he has done it about 10 times. Daddy still hasn't seen it and Mom hasn't been able to capture it on camera, but it has happened.
- He is starting to smile more. We can't really tell if he is smiling at us or if it is still an accident, but it seems to be more at us.
- He is following objects with his eyes really well. He even watches the deer go round on his mobile.
- He is trying to 'talk' more. Still working on it but he has a sweet little voice.
- He is starting to sleep better - thank goodness. Right now he is consistently sleeping for a stretch of 4-5 hours every night. So much better than the 2 hour stretches we were working with.
- He got his first sickness - congestion and a double ear infection. So sad to see, but proved to us even more that he has the best temperament ever because he hardly whined through all of it.
- He took his first road trip to Dallas alone with Mommy and was an angel.
- He loves to snuggle with Mommy and Daddy. (So Mommy uses it as an excuse to have lazy days sometimes)
- He got to meet his Great Grandma Bachmeyer and Great Grandma Laskoskie and Mr. Dwight.
- He had definitely learned how to get his hands to his mouth. In fact, he frequently tries to fit both fists in his mouth. Most of the time he does it he is starving hungry, but sometimes it seems he does it just because. I hope we don't end up with a thumb sucker because I can't take his thumbs away!
Especially now that I am getting a decent amount of sleep I am loving every precious second with my baby. I hate that I am going to be back at work this time next month, but am so thankful for the time I have at home with him now!
Hunter Gerard, Mommy and Daddy love you so much!!
That last picture of him is one of the cutest I have EVER seen! His little smile is just precious Steph! So happy for you and Clint :)
