15 / 16 month update

Well apparently time flies when you are having fun because I never posted a 15 month update. As I am sure you remember, Hunter was sick over his 15 month celebration with what ended up being strep throat. Since he was sick, his shots got postponed to a 16 month checkup, which is what we have now. So at 16 months Hunter is:

Height: 32" - 67%
Weight: 24lb 2oz - 38%
Head: 19" - 76%

So now Hunter is taller and skinner but still super smart :)

He got 4 shots at his appointment. I failed to get a good picture but here is the big boy!

- He STILL wears a size 4 diaper. But I am not complaining because obviously the ratio of diapers goes down as the size goes up.

- He likes to knock on the doors. And speaking of doors, he can open them now - the ones you push and the ones you pull. He still hasn't mastered the doors outside because they stick a bit.
- Still no words yet..... I keep waiting and I swear he is going to start talking in sentences.
- He LOVES animals
- He is such a little helper around the house and loves to throw things in the trash can, especially his diapers. I am not sure if it is because he likes to throw it away or because he likes to wash his hands afterwards....or both.
- He still has 8 teeth. The 4 center ones on top and bottom. I would say that I think he is teething, but I seem to say that every update and am always wrong. So we will just wait and see :)
- He is officially running. He still trips on his little feet, but the doctor assures me that is normal and that is why they call them "toddlers."
- He has become attached to his baby bear (bear blanket) and his pillow. If you take him out of his crib, he will reach back to get them!
- He loves to dance! As my father would say, the music speaks to him. He is so cute because he bounces up and down, but he has also started to swing his arms and sway side to side. I am not sure if school does something with him or not, but last night when I was singing to him he started doing some sort of hand motions too. SO CUTE!
- He is Daddy's little sidekick. Anything that Daddy does, Hunter wants to do. That includes picking out belts and boots in the morning, playing with a turkey decoy, watching hunting/fishing shows, being outside non-stop, how he takes big boy bites of his food, etc.
- And even though he is Daddy's sidekick, he is still Mommy's baby boy. He loves to read with me and snuggle with me.

Everyday we love Hunter even more....more than we thought ever possible! He continues to amaze us and keeps a smile plastered to our face! Hunter Gerard, you are our world!
