2 weeks and counting....

At Hunter's last checkup, his doctor said that we might want to think about taking away his paci. She said that he was at the age that we either needed to take it away or let him keep it until he was 3. It would not be the end of the world if he had a paci when he was 3, but we decided we would try to take it away now. So the next day, all of the pacis disappeared from daycare. The daycare said he has done great and has only asked for it a few times when he saw other kids with their paci. When his teacher told him that he didn't have any he was ok with that. We still give him his paci at night, but this morning he woke up without it (it had fallen on the floor) and he didn't freak out when he couldn't find it. He was still just as happy as could be. So I am thinking we might be close to getting rid of it all together! Woo Hoo!! The only bad thing is we won't have it to quiet him down in places like church and restaurants.
