Break a Mommy's heart

I know that I have a few more Easter posts to catch up on, but before I forget (as if I could)....

This week has been tough for me because I had to leave my angel baby, while he had a double ear infection, to travel to Chicago for work. The first night/morning I was gone Hunter woke up and walked into to our room, straight to my side of the bed (like normal). Clint said that he was asking/crying for Mommy and was so confused when I wasn't there. Clint said Daddy is here, but Hunter kept crying for me. Clint tried to "explain" to him that Mommy had to leave to go to work.

He said Hunter just turned around and left the room. Clint assumed that Hunter was just going to go back to his bed since Mommy wasn't there to snuggle with, but he followed him out of our room to check on him. Hunter had gone to my office and was calling my name. :( I guess he understood when Clint said work and went to the place he knows that I work. He was devastated when I wasn't there. Clint scooped him up and took him back to our room to snuggle with him and love on him.

Talk about breaking a Mommy's heart. I am so thankful that I have a good job that I enjoy and does not require me to travel very often, but it absolutely breaks my heart when my baby is missing me (and I am missing him as bad).

So far, Daddy and Hunter have done great, and I cannot wait to see them in two more days!!
