Annual pumpkin carving contest

This year, instead of carving pumpkins, I thought it would be more friendly to use big markers.

The problem was that I bought washable markers in case they got on Hunter, clothes, furniture, etc. which also meant they didn't dry well on the pumpkins. So plan B was painting and carving the pumpkins.

The pumpkin spread. Once Hunter got painting he just couldn't stop. Can you tell his color of choice that day was black?

We had a blast decorating pumpkins and I love that I can enjoy activities with my kids like I did growing up with my Mom. (I even put in a SOS call to have Mom help me make the pumpkin seeds - and they turned out perfect!)
