Christmas Morning

After we went to church, the 8pm service, we came home and read our Christmas Eve stories: T'was the Night Before Christmas and Mr. Willowby's Christmas Tree. MiMi read these to us EVERY Christmas Eve so it is fun to continue the tradition with my babies. Just like last year, Hunter wanted to read T'was the Night Before Christmas twice...so I did :)

Then we got all snuggled up in our bed and waited for Santa to come so we could celebrate with a birthday party for Jesus.

When Hunter got up in the morning we walk RIGHT past his presents from Santa because he was looking for Randall the Reindeer. But Randall left a note for Hunter saying he had to help get Santa back to the North Pole safely. Once he saw his presents he was very excited.

Hunter LOVED his tool set

Our sweet babies on Christmas morning

Love!

Lauran enjoyed her mirror that Santa brought her. Anyone who has hung out with this baby KNOWS she hates being on her tummy. So this was a Christmas miracle that Lauran loved her new toy so much that she would lay on her tummy to play with it!

Other Christmas morning hits included.....matching crocs for Daddy and Hunter

Hunter's Mickey scooter (I was shocked at how good he could do it)

And Hunter's pow pow (like Daddy's) with a deer so he can go deer hunting. He would get his gun and his scooter and say "bye bye...see you later... I am going hunting."

Mommy and Daddy got a bunch of gift cards from all of the family which allowed us to get a gun safe for Christmas. Once Hunter saw that Daddy was putting his guns in the safe, Hunter decided one of his guns needed to go in there too. He does EVERYTHING like Daddy. We knew we needed to get a gun safe because Hunter tried to put his "baby pow pow" under the mattress. When I asked why he said because he was doing it like Daddy. We asked him where Daddy's gun was and he walked to the other side of the bed and pointed to the mattress, exactly where Clint's gun was. SCARY! So it was such a blessing to be able to get a gun safe for Christmas!

After all of the fun and presents, I think Hunter's favorite part of the day was singing Happy Birthday to Jesus and "helping Jesus" blow out his birthday cake candle.

So sweet that Hunter already associates Christmas with a Happy Birthday part of Jesus :)

At Christmas, just as on every other day of the year, we are so so blessed!
