They packed up to head off the next weekend and I tried to bribe Hunter to stay home with me but he wouldn't go for it. I asked him what was so great about hunting and he said SODA!!! Clearly he is getting way too many at the deer lease. But if that is the only thing I can complain about, we are doing good. So off they went hunting again.
The first morning Hunter sat with Daddy. Daddy had to tell him to wait until the sun came up to get his soda, but this is the picture I got at 7:45 am.
He later crashed :)
The next morning hunt, Hunter was sitting with PawPaw and they got a doe. Hunter was SO excited and PawPaw said Hunter was his lucky charm. Hunter helped them do everything with the deer...find it, drag it out of the woods, load in on the 4-wheeler, clean it...everything!

After the successful hunt, the boys came back home. They brought the deer head and leg home because they had it tagged and have to be able to show proof that it was a legal deer in case they got stopped. So Hunter found much pleasure it playing with the deer head and leg. All boy!
He kept saying, "touch it Mommy! TOUCH IT! HAHAHA!" He LOVED it when I got all grossed out. "Just touch the leg Mommy...HERE!"
Then he proceeded to chase Lauran around the yard with the deer leg. While I was yelling at him to stop terrorizing her I had to snap a picture because it was soooo funny! He thought it was the greatest thing ever {just like Daddy} and Lauran was screaming her head off {much like Mommy}!
