And as the tradition goes, the weekend before Christmas the Trachier side of the family (and whoever else we can talk into joining us) gets together to make Christmas cookies. This year was a little bit sad....ok a LOT sad... Since Hunter had been sick and had not been cleared from the doctor yet, he wasn't supposed to be around any other kiddos. That meant that our nephew (and Grammie and PawPaw who were watching him) and our neighbor friends could not come over to join the festivities. But the most devastating blow was that Lance got stuck up at school with his job so he couldn't join us. I have to admit that it is a lot more fun getting "beat" by Lance than it is to win without him here!
But the tradition had to go on.... SO Mom and Britt and myself decorated cookies and then the guys judged them. Somehow some of the cookies were "illegally" eaten before the judging happened (and those cookies were such stellar ones that we don't know which ones they were...hehe) but the guys picked some winners. I think Mom might have one the grand prize best cookie award.
Those were some winners. They said "Lance's Coal' which is all he is getting for Christmas since he was bad and didn't come join our party!!
