After that we all snuggled up in our beds and went to bed so Santa could come. After all of the years I thought my Dad was nerdy for being "Captain Video"...I get it now. Even though Hunter didn't "get it" it was fun watching Clint bring him down the stairs to see what Santa had left. Hunter loved his gift from Santa. Of course we got WAY more than we ever need or deserved but are very thankful for all that our family does for us! Hunter especially loved the glow stick that had crazy colors when you held the button and the books that MiMi and Aunt B and O'ma recorded for him.
Clint loved ALL of the Bass Pro gift cards that he got. He enjoyed going shopping the next day. I got a sewing machine and I am very excited about the projects I have planned. I know NOTHING about sewing but I have faith because I have some really good teachers! I also got a very special painting from my brother of baby Hunter. I am always touched by his sweet gestures and impressed by his talent.

Then it was off to O'ma's house for lunch and MORE presents.
At O'ma's house we got to play a fun game. Hunter "stole" my ornament and ended up being the "big winner" with the monies. His piggy bank is loving him. Then we got to open gifts and again got some really cool stuff. Hunter got some neat books, but his favorite was an elephant that shook when you pressed his nose. He was amused by that for a while!

All in all it was a PERFECT Christmas.....only if you forget the part of another one of my "great" ideas. The day after Christmas I had a coupon for 30% off Coach. I had been wanting a new purse and got some gift cards for Christmas so we braved the mall to go to the Coach store. Once we got there we figured out that we couldn't use the coupon there because it was for a Coach Factory (there is a difference if you didn't know). So we drove out to Allen (which takes a lot longer to get there when you are following the wrong directions...oops). When we got there, there was a line to get into the store because they were at capacity. It didn't take long to get in but when we did it was a mad house. Shelves were cleared, there were ladies walking around with 5,6,7 purses on their arms, the line to check out took a majority of the store, and there were so many people it was hard to walk anywhere. CRAZY!!! After all of that, I didn't find the purse I was after so we went home empty-handed. I have to say a special thank you to my Mom who always goes along with my crazy ideas. No matter how things end up or how lost (turned around) we get, she always makes it fun!
Couldn't have asked for a more perfect Christmas!

We were not lost!!! ....we just couldn't find that blasted store!!! ;-)
ReplyDeleteThank you for helping to make Christmas perfect!!
You realize I live like 15 minutes away from there!!!! Call me next time and I will gladly join in the craziness or atleast just provide more accurate directions :)
ReplyDeletePS, I love your haircut!!! :)
Thanks Em. We will def call next time, although I am not sure there will be a next time. We didn't really know the difference between and Coach and Coach Factory and def had NO idea of what we were getting ourselves into. But I def NEED to see you and McKenley soon!!
