We even went to Target and let him pick out whatever bedding set he wanted. It was a really tough choice between spider man and the trucks but he ended up going with the trucks. He LOVES his new bed. Loves jumping on it, rolling in it, hiding under the covers, and pretty much everything except sleeping in it. Clint tried to get him to take a nap in there on Sunday and Hunter said, "light on" so afraid of falling asleep in there.
The first couple of nights in his bed were rough. They consisted of him coming into our room somewhere between 12:30-1am and snuggling right up between Clint and I.
{Maybe if I cover up my whole body they won't notice I am in here}
Tuesday night Clint ended up sleeping in Hunter's bed with him (what a sweet Daddy). Then Wednesday we spent a lot of time playing and laying in Hunter's bed in the evening. He showed me where he thought there were gators and snakes and his bed and so we took all the covers off and I showed him there was nothing under the covers. And Wednesday night he slept the WHOLE night in his bed. :) We even had to go wake him up.
He must not have believed me that there were not gators or snakes under the covers because look how we found him this morning.....laying horiztonal at the very top of his bed. He was using an extra pillow to cover up his feet. HaHa!
SO of course we celebrated with a donut treat :) I was just going to drive through and let him take some donut holes to school but as we were in the drive through line Hunter said, "no Mommy, I go in there." So we went inside and after doing a little dance, Hunter picked out the white donut with sprinkles. Must have been a good choice because he ate every last bite of it!!
So proud of my big boy. Praying we can keep this up :)
