No Fireworks!

Hope everyone had a happy and safe 4th of July. We had a wonderful and pretty relaxing 4th. It felt weird since it fell in the middle of the week but it was a nice break from work. Clint got up really early and went fishing with his Dad. Then when he got home, him and Hunter took a nap and Mommy went and got her nails and toes done. It was wonderful!

Afterwards, we got ready to go eat dinner and have some fun with some friends of ours, Dustin, Dana, and their daughter Ella. They cooked us a wonderful dinner and we had these for dessert.

They actually looked better than they tasted :( Since I made them a day ahead of time, the juices from the fruit made the cookies soggy. So next time I will make them the day of!

After we ate dinner the guys took the kids swimming while Dana and I relaxed on the towel. We heard "watch this Mommy" from one kid or another a hundred times and loved it each time! We went back to the house and ate our dessert, then packed up to head home before all of the crazies got on the road. As we were leaving, some neighborhood kids started shooting fireworks. Hunter ran to Clint and tried to climb up him, held his ears, and kept saying "no fireworks!" Poor baby has sensitive ears. Good thing we didn't keep him up for a big firework show!
