As always, angel baby slept like an angel. She went to bed around 9 that night and woke up at about 6:45am. That gave Mommy just enough time to get her dressed, and feed her a quick snack before taking her to school. I was hoping it would be easier since Lauran was my second child, but it was just as hard to let her go as it was with Hunter.
I was going to drop Lauran off, get Hunter eating breakfast, and then go take the rest of Lauran's stuff to her classroom and talk to her teacher. My morning went from bad to worst when Hunter wouldn't let go of Lauran's car seat. I told him it was okay and that he could go eat breakfast. He looked at Lauran's teacher and said "you don't hurt my sissy." It was so sweet. Ms. Tiffany said, "oh no Hunter, we will only love on your Sissy." He wasn't too convinced. The only way I got him to leave was to have Ms. Tiffany promise that he could come check on Lauran whenever he wanted to.
When I called around lunch time to check on her, they said Hunter had already come by twice to check on her. Later that day I asked Hunter what Lauran was doing when he checked on her and he said "she night night."
I love that Hunter is such a great big brother but Mommy was already having a hard time dropping Lauran off and that just broke my heart that he was upset too. I barely escaped to the truck before the tears hit me. It was a very long day at work but when the clock ticked 5 I rushed out of there to go get my babies. According to the teachers and the sheets, Lauran did great!
After having Lauran Thursday and Friday, her teacher's said she is an excellent baby.....Mommy already knew that though! :) Wish us all luck with our first full week starting tomorrow.
