1. Mice in the infant classroom. It took the owners a week to respond and when they did they put hot pink duct tape on the bottom of the exterior door where the weather strip was missing and mice were getting in. I admit that duct can fix most things, but seriously?
2. Mice in the kitchen. UGH!
3. Director and assistant director lying to parents about incidents.
4. Supposedly the front desk was logging in low income kids, even when they weren't there, because they get reimbursed from the state.
5. Director telling the teachers they are replaceable. They had 35+ teachers come in and out in less than a year because they treat them like they are replaceable.
Every single night I had a headache, I felt sick to my stomach every morning when I had to drop the kids off, and I tried to rush through my work so I could go pick them up as soon as possible. Anyways, the mice in the infant classroom was the final straw. On Monday we pulled the kids out. Tuesday they spent the day with Grammie, and the first thing Hunter said when he got in the car was "Mommy I had fun." Then Ms. Jessica, Hunter's old teacher from daycare, came to the house and watched the kids for the remainder of the week. Between Grammie and Ms. Tiffany, Lauran's old daycare teacher, we have the rest of the month covered. Then the kids will be starting at Primrose. After this week I just feel at peace. I feel so relieved to have our kids out of a less than desirable situation and we are feeling overwhelmingly blessed that so many family and friends are willing to make sacrifices to take care of our babies over the next few weeks. They say it take a village to raise a baby and I am so thankful that we are surrounded by the loving village that God has blessed us with. I will forever be thankful to these people for helping us pull the kids a month earlier than anticipated.
We are looking forward to putting our kids in Primose and hope and pray they are the "family" we have been looking for. We know it won't be perfect, because let's face it -- nothing is like home. BUT we are hopeful that it will be a good fit for our family where our kids can grow and flourish.
I mean, who couldn't want these absolute best for these angels?
