Here is Lauran's 5th month picture :)
But right around 6 months, Lauran started learning all kinds of new tricks like rolling over. We thought she was close to rolling over so we started leaving her "un-wrapped" at night...no more swaddles :( So one morning (Feb 1st) I went to check on Lauran and the morning and I found her like this...
Apparently, she learned how to flip from her back to her front. The problem was, unless she was asleep, she didn't like to be on her tummy and she didn't figure out how to flip from her tummy to her back. Fortunately she figured that out just a few days later.
At 6 months, she still hated baby food and just cried every time we tried to feed her.
Lauran was a brave baby when she got her 6 month shots plus the flu shots. But the next day she started running a fever and had tummy issues. It was so upsetting.
Her 6 month stats were:
Height: 26" - 60%
Weight: - 55%
Head - 16.5" - 33.5%
A far cry from the tiny little baby we brought home from the hospital who barely was on the charts.
At the 6 month appt, the dr told us that we needed to get Lauran's hearing checked, so here is Lauran and Daddy waiting at Texas Children's to get her hearing test. Thank God, Lauran passed the test at every frequency!
- Lauran still loves her brother more than anything. Even though she really doesn't make any "talking" noises, she laughs away at her brother every day.
- She is holding and grabbing all of her toys passing them from hand to hand
- She is sitting better with support
- She holds her bottle until she realizes that you are still helping with it, then she lets go :)
- She loves her bath time, especially when Hunter takes on with her
- She is in size 3 diaper and size 6-9 clothes
- She LOVES to snuggle and when she isn't sick she sleeps through the night (8:30pm - 6:30am)
