Easter Miracle

Well we are very thankful to say that Lauran got a good bill of health at the doctors this week. Trip #1 was to the ENT. Lauran passed all of the hearing tests again (PTL) but still had fluid in her ears. That means she will need to get tubes to help with the constant ear infections and we are hoping this improves her "speech" as well. As I mentioned before, I am at peace with that decision. It is never fun and you never want your babies to have surgery or be put under but I know it will improve her health.

I was very nervous about the second trip to TX Children's to have the "growth" looked at. The surgeon took one look at it and said it was a "skin tag" caused by a tear in her skin. She believes that at some point she strained to use the restroom and that sensitive skin tore, causing the skin tag to appear. The great news is that as long as we manage her diet properly so that she doesn't strain this should heal on its own over the next couple of weeks. This was truly a Easter Miracle for our family as we were so stressed out about the "what could have been."

Lauran was happy to be home :)

You never realize how much your parent's worried and continue to worry about you until you have kids of your own. Then you get it, but there is no turning back! It is moments like this that I have to stop and tell my parents thank you and I love you for all of the stress and worries and tears no doubt shed over the years. I now understand that many of the times I was told no, could have been translated to "I love you that much".

And I can't help but think on this Easter weekend that God loves us THAT much. He worried about his son, knew the stress and hardships he was putting him in, but still chose to give us His Son, and allowed him to be sacrificed such that all of us could be eternally saved. If you ever questioned how much God loves you, just remember you are his child. I pray that we all see and understand that magnitude of the true Easter Miracle.

Happy Easter from the Laskoskie Family
