I don't have any updated stats except his weight. We took him to the doctor for another illness. The bad news is that he needed ear drops, eye drops, antibiotics, and breathing treatments but the good news is that he almost went a month without getting sick at all! That is practically a world record for this kiddo! So, when we took him to the doctor for that whole mess he weighed 21lbs 5oz. Hopefully we won't see the doctor again until his 12 month checkup.
My 9 and 10 month updates were close together so some of this might run together but...
- Hunter got tubes in his ears and he started sleeping through the night. (thank goodness) We finally seem to be mastering a schedule/routine and it is making everything so much easier!
- Hunter LOVEs his bath time still. Now he figured out how to splash with both hands and wiggle his feet all at the same time. So precious to watch.
- He got his first eye infection that totally grossed Mommy out! Constant green oozing out the eye.
- We let him play with Missy for the first real time. Missy is an outside dog but loves people so she gets really excited anytime you go out there with her. We had to wear her out a little bit, but they enjoyed playing with each other. Hunter loves animals...dogs, cats, birds, fish....it is fun watching him watch the animals.
- He has the most precious laughs. He has a laugh when he gets excited that is more like a squeal. It sounds like he is inhaling a big breath while he is squealing (and he has a huge grin at the same time). He has a giggle when he really gets tickled which is so sweet to hear. And he has a little chuckle that he does which is like 3 chuckles and that is it. He does that when he is tired, or when you point to things and ask him what he thinks (like with PawPaw's deer, the fishies in the aquarium, and the light at MiMi's house).
- He can stand on his own now with no support. It started for like 3 seconds here and 2 seconds there but now he can stand for a while on his own now and can do it while shaking toys. It has amazing me how fast he has learned everything!
- He still loves books. About once a week I get a story from daycare about how much Hunter loves books. He always moves to the front at story time, he likes to help turn pages, he loves to touch the books, and if the teacher turns the book around to show all of the kids his face lights up and he squeals when it gets to him.
- He actually started saying MaMa when he was not upset. I heard him just babbling it...beautiful sound!
- He can eat chopped up apples (baby kind) and carrots. We are still working on it though. Ever since his tubes he has been eating baby food really good (FINALLY) so we are hoping he will transition to more solid foods soon.
- We are still working with the sippy cup.....he can throw it to the floor really good.
- He randomly discovered the stairs at Grammie's house and proceeded to climb up them....with NO assistance! How did he know he was supposed to climb up those things? I think we may have a climber on our hands.
- He also discovered that he has teeth in his mouth. His tounge is constantly sticking out as he is running it over his teeth. So funny!
- Speaking of teeth....I think we are back in full blown teething mode again! The drool is taking over!!! HAHA! Who knows where the next little teeth might pop up next! I will keep you updated.
- And last but not least, he got to swing :) Daddy put up his swing in the yard. He wasn't too sure about it, but it was close to bath time so we hope to try it again soon!
My baby love is getting so big and I am loving every minute of it!! I didn't know life as a Mommy could be so challenging and I really had no idea that my heart could burst with such pride and be so full of love for such a little guy!
Ahh, I bet he will love his swing! Good job Dad for getting it all set up for Hunter to use.
